S4.4: Documenting a current configuration

Use the following PlanIT and SAM Advisors to document the present method of operation (PMO):

• Enterprise Modeller to build a model of the existing company
• Application Advisor to document the application plan that shows what is automated, what automation strategy is being used (buy, rent, outsource, develop, extend) and what application packages are being used.
• Platform Advisor to document the current computing hardware and software configurations
• Network Advisor to document the wired/wireless networks  
• Security Advisor to determine and document the security services
• Consolidated report that documents the current overall IT plan.  It may be necessary to modify the plan generated by PlanIT to reflect a really accurate current situation. The plan can be edited by using MS Word.
